2000The 2000 season started of very well with a class win in the 2 hour GTP race at the Adelaide 500 and from then on we kept winning, 11 starts 9 wins and 1 second to take out the National GTP V8 class in our first attempt. Voted GTP Rookie of the Year. My Falcon XR8 received its fair share of channel 10 TV coverage, print and even radio time promotion. My attack on the 3-Hour GTP show room show down at Bathurst in 2000 with former Australian Production Car Champ Kent Youlden saw us dominate the rain soaked 3 hour Saturday race leading from Flag to Flag in class C V8's.2001Kent also won 2 sprint races in 2001 and shared my XR8 with his son Luke to 3rd place in the Sandown 500, Kent and myself finished in 2nd in the 2 hour GTP show room show down at Bathurst which was a great result to Finnish off the year.200235th annual Sandown 500 GT production Class WIN In a Honda S2000. First Bathurst 24-hour race with Team Yamaha in a Ford TE 50. After running as high as 5th we finished 9th outright.2003Contested the second running Bathurst 24 hour race and although the result wasn't as hoped it did give some time to asses the GT's potential of which I know there is plenty. Much of 2003 was spent off the track with development of the new car and team. |
